Yes, there are specific weight guidelines for Priority cargo based on the aircraft type:
- DASH 8 - Maximum piece weight 75 kg
- B737 - PAX: Maximum piece weight 136 kg
- B787 - Maximum piece weight 2000 kg
- B737 BCF - Maximum piece weight 2000 kg
If your Priority shipment does not fly as confirmed upon acceptance, you can request a refund of the Priority charge.
Here are the details for the refund request process:
- The refund request must be submitted within 7 days of the shipment's scheduled flight arrival date.
- The request must come from the agent, shipper or consignee.
- The refund will be returned to the original form of payment upon completion of the investigation.
A refund is not eligible in scenarios where the service level guarantee cannot be met due to circumstances beyond WestJet’s control. This includes, but is not limited to, instances caused by weather conditions, air traffic control, Acts of God, peril of the air, riots, strikes, civil commotion, or any other cause beyond WestJet's reasonable control.
