  • Enjoy shorter tender reduced cut-off times, from main hubs - Calgary (YYC), Vancouver (YVR), and Toronto (YYZ):
    • Narrowbody Flights: 2 hours before scheduled departure (STD) 
    • Widebody Flights: 3 hours before  scheduled departure (STD) 
  • Shipments include a special label, ensuring careful handling throughout their journey
  • In the unlikely event your shipment does not fly as confirmed, the Priority charge will be refunded

Priority shipping is available for the following cargo types:

  • General Cargo (no additional special handling code required).
  • Human blood, cord blood, tissue samples, and live human organs (the special handling code LHO must be added to these shipments).

Yes, there are specific weight guidelines for Priority cargo based on the aircraft type:

  • DASH 8 - Maximum piece weight 75 kg
  • B737 - PAX: Maximum piece weight 136 kg
  • B787 - Maximum piece weight 2000 kg
  • B737 BCF - Maximum piece weight 2000 kg

If your Priority shipment does not fly as confirmed upon acceptance, you can request a refund of the Priority charge.

Here are the details for the refund request process:

  • The refund request must be submitted within 7 days of the shipment's scheduled flight arrival date.
  • The request must come from the agent, shipper or consignee.
  • The refund will be returned to the original form of payment upon completion of the investigation.

A refund is not eligible in scenarios where the service level guarantee cannot be met due to circumstances beyond WestJet’s control. This includes, but is not limited to, instances caused by weather conditions, air traffic control, Acts of God, peril of the air, riots, strikes, civil commotion, or any other cause beyond WestJet's reasonable control.
